About
Built by an operator, for operators.
Julius Consulting is led by Cody Sellers — someone who has run a small business, worked inside Fortune 500 companies, and watched consultants burn both.
Philosophy / Founder Story
Why I built Julius.
I started my career owning an IT managed services company supporting small businesses. Five years, a successful exit, then a decade inside corporate America working with and for some of the largest companies in the world. I've seen how both sides operate — and I know exactly where the gaps are.
The gap that bothered me most: small and mid-sized businesses getting burned by consultants who charged a fortune, delivered slide decks instead of results, and hid behind jargon when things went sideways. I watched it happen from inside the companies hiring them. The consultants weren't concerned with solving the problem — they were concerned with extending the engagement. The client didn't know enough to push back, and the consultants knew it.
That's why Julius exists. Small businesses are the backbone of the economy. They face real challenges — but unlike a large corporation, they can actually change. They're not steering a ship with a hundred people pulling in different directions. They have the ability to adapt, move fast, and get ahead of what's coming. Right now, what's coming is AI — and the businesses that figure it out first will have an edge their competitors won't be able to close.

How I work
A few things I won't compromise on.
Outcomes, not engagements
I've seen what happens when a consultant's incentive is to bill more hours, not solve the problem. Every recommendation I make is tied to a business result — hours saved, costs cut, revenue unlocked. The goal is to get you to the outcome, not to extend the timeline.
The person who scopes it ships it
You'll work directly with me from the first call to the final handoff. No bait-and-switch, no account manager relaying messages, no junior learning the ropes on your dime.
Fixed scope, no surprises
Scope and price are agreed before any work begins. You'll have the number in writing and you'll never see an invoice you didn't approve first.
Honest about fit
Most of my clients have been burned by a consultant before. If AI isn't the right answer for your problem — or if an off-the-shelf tool would serve you better than custom work — I'll tell you that before you spend a dollar finding out.
AI isn't slowing down. Your competitors aren't either.
Book a free scoping call — you'll get a straight answer on what AI could do for your business and what it would actually take to get there.
